It is said that nothing beats the heart of a volunteer. When an individual steps forward choosing to act on their own accord for a certain cause or mission, goodness and grace is created out of human kindness. Choosing to volunteer is a simple yet such a powerful and empowering act.
Our First Volunteer
Petitecredit recognizes Chong Thongyaolee from Laos, for her generosity and we thank her tremendously for her big heart to help others. The borrowers in her care are truly blessed.
As we began our initial lending to borrowers, Chong Thongyaolee stepped forward with creating and organizing loan collection documents. She is Petitecredit’s first Volunteer Officer. This person stays connected with borrowers that she is responsible for and ensures loan repayment as per agreed-upon repayment plan.
We asked our volunteer a question which was “Why do you volunteer?” Ms. Thongyaolee responded to our question saying:

Care officer
Petitecredit guiding principles include getting to know borrowers during the due diligence process. Care Officer would conduct the one to one Zoom interview, and put forward their recommendation if loan can be disbursed. Along with that, Care Officer will discuss and finalize any loan related matters in the one page application.
Loan commercial officer
This individual could also be in parallel volunteer as a Care Officer. Mainly, the ongoing volunteering mission is to stay in periodic contact with borrowers, and ensuring loan repayment schedule are on track. Loans that are repaid, will allow Petitecredit to recycle the loan capital to future borrowers. It is positive recycling of capital, which we believe creates a positive cycle of assistance, to one borrower at a time. Loan Commercial Officer can provide ongoing business support and ideas to borrowers. Call it an ongoing business advisory services to borrowers.
